Part of our Song Kiln Collection, this tea bowl is inspired by the celadon ware of the Song Dynasty's Imperial Longquan Kilns.
Handcrafted from dark clay and glazed with a gemlike blue-green celadon, this stunning vessel was created by nationally acclaimed Taiwanese master ceramicist, Xu De Jia.
The glaze is a modern interpretation of China's classic Longquan celadons. Like glistening jade in luster and appearance, this bowl offers a stately low profile for ergonomics and aesthetic appeal. The artist's chop is stamped on the underside of the bowl. A complex web of craquelure runs through the glaze in a unique pattern; barely visible when new, these lines will darken with use to create a beautiful patina.

Using a tea bowl is one of the simplest ways to brew tea - Just add tea leaves, top with hot water, and wait for the leaves to sink to the bottom of the bowl as they re-hydrate. For best results, use a whole leaf tea with low tannin content.
