Hibiscus Flowers

Hibiscus Flowers

  • 漢字 芙蓉花

    flavor notes tart, fruity, crisp

One of our most striking herbal teas, these hibiscus flowers brew a bright magenta liquor with a bold, tart flavor reminiscent of cranberries. Though we love to sip this tea on it's own, a strong brew of these flowers also makes a great natural base for mixed, flavored, or sweetened drinks.

When brewed, hibiscus flowers release a vibrant magenta hue, a result of natural pigments in the flowers (no artificial dyes added).

While herbal tisanes can be brewed with boiling water, we find that a temperature closer to 180°F preserves the more delicate floral nuances of the infusion, resulting in a more satisfying brew. Hibiscus flowers are also delicious cold brewed! Just add cold water to the flowers and brew until it reaches your desired taste (usually around 1 hour).
