One of our most popular herbal teas. A delicious flower from the elderberry plant, indigenous to Europe. Extracts made from elderflowers are used to flavor many foods and drinks, including the traditional Romanian soft drink Socată.
The natural flavor of these flowers is bright and fruity, with the distinct aroma of apricots in a sweet and honey-like base. Brewed solo, the bold balance of floral and fruity flavors can be a nice alternative to soothing chamomile, with a strong taste that's never bitter. But these potent flowers also work well to flavor mixed tea beverages or cocktails.
