This simple brewing set is the preferred brewing method for tea competitions. For everyday use, the brewing cup works much like a gaiwan. The handle keeps fingers cool, and the lid strains the leaves as the liquid is poured through the notch in the side. Pour into the matching cup for easy drinking.
Made of white stoneware and glazed inside and out, this is the perfect set for tasting new teas, testing comparative quality, or just brewing a quick cup.

As leaves steep inside the cup, place the lid on and hold the knob with your thumb as you pour into the server.
For competition style comparisons, let the leaves stew side by side, and use a spoon to transfer the brewed tea to a small tasting cup.
