White Tea Collection

Welcome to the White Tea Collection!

In this box, you'll explore one of tea's purest expressions, crafted simply by sun-drying fresh tea leaves. With such minimal processing, white tea is a celebration of season, its flavor deeply influenced by harvest date. Watch our guided unboxing video above, then keep scrolling to learn more about each tea.

Crafted in Fengqing County, our Yunnan White Needle is harvested from plump Da Ye (Assamica)-variety tea buds for a sweet and crisp taste. This premium white tea is distinctly influenced by terroir and cultivar. Compared to our classic Da Bai-variety Silver Needle and Silver Needle Reserve from Fuding County (with their classic rosewater and marzipan notes), Yunnan White Needle is decidedly bolder and zestier, with herbaceous notes of alfalfa and dried apricot.

Xin Gong Yi is a custom white tea, crafted exclusively for Red Blossom in Fuding County, Fujian. Translated as "new craft", Xin Gong Yi is created by extending the normally minimal oxidation of white tea to over 30%. This produces a tea that is technically a hybrid of white and oolong, resulting in a flavor similar to Darjeeling, with notes of dried fruit and a floral finish.

Bai Mu Dan

Bai Mu Dan (or "White Peony") is China's most popular style of white tea, crafted from a combination of young tea leaves and unopened leaf buds. The inclusion of leaf buds increases the tea's sweetness and floral notes, while the more mature leaves add a balance of nutty and earthy flavors.

Our Bai Mu Dan is harvested in mid-April in Fuding County, Fujian (the birthplace of white tea). Like most orthodox white tea, this crop uses the Da Bai or "Big White" cultivar, known for its downy white leaf buds and creamy flavor. When brewed, Bai Mu Dan offers a mellow taste with notes of almond and dried apricot.

Shou Mei (or "Longevity Eyebrows") is a classic everyday white tea, crafted exclusively from larger and more mature leaves in early summer. Without the inclusion of leaf buds (like those found in our Bai Mu Dan), the flavor profile is noticeably earthier, with a distinct nuttiness and mellow taste. Like Bai Mu Dan, our Shou Mei is harvested in Fuding County from leaves of the Da Bai cultivar.
