Pan'an Dragonwell Supreme

Longjing, or "dragonwell" is perhaps China's most famous tea style, a green tea created by roasting freshly harvested tea leaves against a hot pan. This direct-contact heat caramelizes sugars in the leaf, producing a distinctly toasted and nutty taste that complements the freshness of the leaves.

An exceptional example of mingqian green tea, Pan'an Dragonwell Supreme 2022 is an instant classic, celebrating the ephemerality of spring with a brightness and nuanced finish found only in the finest dragonwells.

Sourced from the same garden that produces Our Finest Dragonwell, Pan'an Dragonwell Supreme is hand-harvested just a few weeks later, toward the end of March. For three generations, the family that works this land has crafted exceptional Dragonwells using fully natural farming methods. Each leaf is meticulously pan-roasted just long enough to produce a lasting finish while preserving the full brightness and aroma of every tea bud.

Pan'an Dragonwell Supreme's pedigree shines through every aspect of the tea: vibrant green leaf buds, crisp sugarcane aroma with hints of snap pea and oat milk, and a brilliant, pale green liquor devoid of astringency.

An ancient tea style supposedly dating back to the Tang Dynasty, Purple Bamboo is cultivated in northern Zhejiang Province near Lake Tai, and crafted exclusively from young spring leaves and leaf buds. After harvest, the tea is drum roasted, a neutral heating method that preserves the natural freshness of the leaves. The result is one the most refreshing green teas around, offering a naturally crisp and sweet finish.

Cloud & Mist is one of the most classic Chinese green tea styles, crafted from slightly later-harvest spring tea leaves. Like Purple Bamboo, Cloud & Mist is a drum roasted green tea. However, the use of more mature leaves gives Cloud & Mist a comparatively more robust flavor profile, offering a deeply vegetal flavor profile with a bold finish.
