Our Aged Collection is a great way to learn about aged teas - both fermented pu-erhs and aged oolongs. With a range of flavors covering everything from the bold, earthy notes of traditional pu-erh to the dried fruit notes that develop with long term dry aging, we think this collection is sure to include something you haven't tasted before.
Included in the Aged Collection are four 1 ounce bags of tea, representing different crafting styles and flavor profiles. There's a small card in the collection with a description of each tea, as well as a brewing instruction card. Everything is packaged in a silver gift box.
The current collection includes one ounce each of the following teas:
Wild Leaf Sheng Pu-erh 2003 - Rich and peaty, with notes of camphor to the finish.
Grand Shou Wild Leaf, Lincang Pu-Erh 2006 - Crisp, and surprisingly sweet. Our go-to pu-erh.
Aged Tung Ting, ca. 1980 - Stored in Taiwan and re-roasted several times to reduce moisture, this tea is rich and smoky.
Aged Tieguanyin, ca. 1986 - Dry aged and untouched in our San Francisco warehouse, this tea has developed notes of plum and walnut.
